The recent withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement has former Secretary of State John Kerry melting down faster than a polar ice cap.

Kerry appeared on NBC’s “Meet the Press” this past weekend. During his appearance, Kerry had some very unique things to say about President Trump’s decision last week to pull out of the Paris accord, a deal he himself worked restlessly to make happen back in December 2015.

At first, Kerry took the typical liberal line when host Chuck Todd asked why he and former President Obama did not make the deal more binding in the first place.

“We presumed that common sense, that basic economics, that science would ultimately prevail,” Kerry said.

But things took a weird turn when Kerry began to compare Trump to O.J. Simpson.

He lambasted the president for thinking he could find a better deal than the Paris accord.

“He’s going to go out and find a better deal?” he asked incredulously, “That’s like O.J. Simpson saying he is going to go out and find the real killer. Everybody knows he isn’t going to do that because he doesn’t believe in it.”

Oof. Maybe not the most politically correct comparison out there.

However, the former secretary was very politically correct when addressing the current terrorist attacks in London. After attacking the travel ban, Kerry called for community building. He said “a great deal more effort has to go into the building of communities, the reaching out and working with these entities, sectors of society so there is not as significant of a gap.”

Perhaps Kerry thinks the threat of terrorists is not as pressing as the threat of climate change.
