All last year, prominent Democrats, congressmen, media hacks, activists and officials called for explicitly defunding the police – not reforming the police, not retraining the police. Nope. Defunding the police. And then many of them went ahead and did it. Then, shocking exactly no one with an IQ higher than four, violent crime shot up in just about every major city. And Democrats started struggling to win local and state elections because as it turns out, minority communities don’t actually want to defund the police and risk their kids getting hit by a stray bullet on the way to school because now there’s no one standing between the gangbangers and the innocent people in the community.
So now that elections are on the line and this stupid riff isn't panning out the way they thought, the left is pretending they never actually wanted to defund the police – saying that was actually the Republicans and their…spending bills, or something. So let’s review the footage, shall we? Because the left owns this. All the way. And they think you're stupid enough not to know it.
