Jane Fonda's Moving to D.C. To Get Arrested For Climate Activism...'A Lot'

As if the swamp needed to get any slimier, Jane Fonda’s moving to Washington, D.C.

According to recent reports, the actress best known for being a dirty rotten traitor is relocating to the nation’s capital to lead “acts of civil disobedience,” primarily focused on climate change. She’s allegedly planning to take “months” away from her recent Netflix series for political activism.

And, as she told the LA Times, she plans to get arrested. “A lot.”

“The 81-year-old actress, activist and exercise phenom is moving to Washington for four months with a plan to get arrested. A lot. Maybe every week,” the LA Times explains.

Fonda reportedly plans to hold “a series of teach-ins and weekly rallies in front of the Capitol,” where she hopes to get carted off in handcuffs as often as humanly possible. For the climate.

And as of Friday morning, it looks like Fonda's already getting her wish. Per Fox News, “According to video obtained by WUSA9 reporter Mike Valerio, U.S. Capitol police in Washington D.C. appear to take Fonda into custody with her hands zip-tied behind her back as a crowd of onlookers cheers.”

According to Fonda, part of her plan to lead the charge on climate change while expanding her own rap sheet includes recruiting….Pamela Anderson?

“So I thought, I’m going to go in there with some gorgeous woman climate activists,” Fonda said, after explaining she didn’t think Trump would be of much help leading the climate crusade after getting elected. “I talked to Pamela Anderson, for example. And if she has to get on her knees and just say, ‘You’re going to be a hero. You can save the world.’”

But while the whole thing is likely just as ridiculous as it sounds, anything that involves putting Hanoi Jane in handcuffs is OK by me.
