Ivanka Trump gave an introduction speech for her father Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, Thursday night.

During her remarks, she told the audience at the Quicken Loans Arena that she does not consider herself “categorically Republican or Democrat.”

“Like many of my fellow millennials, I do not consider myself categorically Republican or Democrat,” said Ivanka.

“More than party affiliation, I vote based on what I believe is right for my family and for my country,” she explained.

Larger than a party leader, she called her father “the people’s champion.”

“For more than a year, Donald Trump has been the people’s champion, and tonight, he is the people’s nominee,” said Ivanka.

Trump delivered a speech Thursday night following his daughter’s much-anticipated introduction, officially accepting the Republican Party’s nomination for the presidency.
