It’s about damn time! New York state’s Department of Health finally updated its number of nursing home deaths. The New York Post reported that the update to the numbers was done "quietly."
The 4,067 hospital deaths that were previously not included in the nursing home death totals, despite being included in the state’s overall death totals, have brought the number to its real total of 13,163, as of February 4.
As reported by the New York Post, “nearly one-third” of the over 13,000 nursing home patients that died from the Chinese coronavirus (COVID-19) passed away in a hospital.
The push to release the true numbers — much to the chagrin of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s office — was facilitated by the continued pressure put on the state by Fox News’ Janice Dean, as well as the report released over a week ago by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
