In this week’s Wacky Moments of Leftist Extremism:

Joe Scarborough picked a good day to not show up for Morning Joe. It came the day after Fox News aired an interview with FBI Director Chris Wray in which he said  "The FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan.”  Joe and his team had long dismissed the notion that the virus originated in a government-controlled lab as a “reckless” conspiracy theory. It tough to face the facts.

Facing up to the facts was also hard for the cast of ABC’s The View. To combat the fact many conservatives and Republicans had been focused on the Wuhan lab for years, the cast found fault Wednesday in former President Trump; blaming him for liberal hostility to the lab leak theory.

As Republican state legislatures across the country move to ban castration or “gender-affirming care” for minors, MSNBC All In host Chris Hayes decried the efforts by playing a clip from his podcast where Dr. Izzy Lowell claimed that children as young as four can choose their gender. Yep, four years old.

Remember the slogan the Washington Post adopted in soon after Donald Trump was inaugurated as President? "Democracy Dies In Darkness." Well, apparently that has been tossed away, as that newspaper's columnist, Dana Milbank, attitude now seems to be "Democracy Dies In Daylight" - he argues nobody should see the January 6th footage released by House Speaker Kevin McCarthy.
