Iran Foreign Minister Calls Trump's UN Address 'Hate Speech' That 'Belongs in Medieval Times'

Does anybody want some extra proof that political correctness is a worldwide epidemic? Or maybe you might just want to have a good laugh. Here you go.

Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif actually used the words “hate speech” in a Twitter response to President Trump’s speech at the United Nations (UN) on Tuesday.

Here is Zarif’s tweet in full:

Really? No, seriously. Really?

A guy from a country that persecutes gay people, gives woman practically no rights, and calls for the extermination of the state of Israel and the downfall of the West is claiming that someone’s words belong in “medieval times.”

Actions speak louder than words.

Trump was not shy in his assessment of Iran ahead of the United States’ decision on whether to stay in the very unpopular Iran nuclear deal that was struck in the second term of the Obama administration.

Here are part of Trump’s comments on Iran:

The Iranian government masks a corrupt dictatorship behind the false guise of a democracy. It has turned a wealthy country, with a rich history and culture, into an economically depleted rogue state whose chief exports are violence, bloodshed, and chaos. The longest-suffering victims of Iran's leaders are, in fact, its own people. Rather than use its resources to improve Iranian lives, its oil profits go to fund Hezbollah and other terrorists that kill innocent Muslims and attack their peaceful Arab and Israeli neighbors.

The only reason Zarif and Iran are so upset about the Iranian portion of Trump’s speech is because they finally had someone, besides Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, call them out on their radical tendencies and subsequent BS.

The “Twitterverse” was gentle in response to Zarif’s tweet:

Okay, Iran. Time to drop the self-righteous act.
