Information Control? Mark Zuckerberg Dictates Facebook 'Won't Accept New Political or Issue Ads' in Week Before Election

For those that don't believe the government narrative that they know best on how you should live your life - including how to process information - don't worry! Facebook's robotic CEO Mark Zuckerberg is here to do try and do the same.

Zuckerberg released a lengthy statement on his Facebook account early Thursday morning detailing how his company will attempt to shape the upcoming 2020 election. The 36-year-old listed 11 bullet points on how Facebook will manage election information on their platform this fall, some of which are raising more than a few eyebrows.

Here's one in particular that's making headlines:

We're going to block new political and issue ads during the final week of the campaign. It's important that campaigns can run get out the vote campaigns, and I generally believe the best antidote to bad speech is more speech, but in the final days of an election there may not be enough time to contest new claims. So in the week before the election, we won't accept new political or issue ads. Advertisers will be able to continue running ads they started running before the final week and adjust the targeting for those ads, but those ads will already be published transparently in our Ads Library so anyone, including fact-checkers and journalists, can scrutinize them.

That's right. Facebook is going to block "new" political ads in the week leading up to the election. Free speech be damned.

Also, Facebook is essentially going to moderate all election-related material on their website in order to combat "misinformation" and "harmful content." If there is such a thing, Facebook looks to become a dystopian information center where information they approve of is allowed while the information they disagree with will be removed. Think "newspeak" from George Orwell's book, "1984."

Another troubling point Zuckerberg brought that should worry absolutely everyone, regardless of political affiliation will be Facebook's push to become judge, jury and executioner.

"We'll enforce our violence and harm policies more broadly by expanding our definition of high-risk people to include election officials in order to help prevent any attempts to pressure or harm them," Zuckerberg wrote, "especially while they're fulfilling their critical obligations to oversee the vote counting."

Whenever any company says they are going to enforce anything "more broadly," take that as a sign that they will censor and remove anyone they want at any time for any reason and then give a generic, corporate excuse for their actions.

Zuckerberg also wrote that Facebook will have video tutorials for people on how they can "vote by mail."
