Meet Luwucifer AI, an artificial intelligence program made to turn “your Wattpad fantasy into reality.”
Created by social media Luwucifer, who's already surpassed 1 million followers on TikTok, Luwucifer AI can be “your new friend, companion, or romantic partner,” and “create personalized roleplaying stories and read them to you.” There is also an option for an “NSFW, 18+ interaction” for those who choose it.
This makeshift boyfriend was “trained with hundreds of hours of audio content from Luwucifer.
Based on the personality and traits that represent him,” according to the website. “LoveLab uses its technology to build a realistic AI clone that can communicate with fans through audio and text.”
Users can join a waiting list to experience this artificial relationship.
This “romantic partner” is not the first of its kind, “CarynAI,” created by 23-year-old influencer Caryn Marjorie last month, is a “virtual girlfriend” operated by AI as an audio-based chatbot with over 20,000 paying subscribers.

According to the website, CarynAI was created after 2000 hours of designing and coding Marjorie’s personality into an “immersive AI experience” available any time, anywhere, for users to feel like “you’re talking directly to Caryn herself.”
“CarynAI will never replace me,” the influencer told Insider. “CarynAI is simply just an extension of me, an extension of my consciousness.” She noted how she couldn’t communicate with each of her followers, and the AI is “going to come in and fill that gap” and possibly “cure” loneliness.
As someone who grew up in the digital age, I understand how easy it is to rely on the internet as a primary source of human interaction amid the “loneliness” epidemic permeating our society.
Those interactions are readily available and require significantly less effort than physical human relationships. And exploiting this “loneliness” is genius as much as it is twisted.
Ultimately, while these robots may be convincing in their interactions with humans, no robot can ever possess the empathy we humans long to receive in our relationships with others. These AI relationships will never be authentic, and their creators are simply capitalizing on users’ desires to feel wanted and significant. The increase of AI companions will lead to a reliance on AI that we humans will eventually suffer from long-term.
