A very familiar name to conservatives and supporters of former president Donald Trump is apparently going to be running for office, but not just any office.

Former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed in a video posted to her Twitter account Monday morning that she will be running to become the governor of Arkansas, the very post her father and former Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee held from 1996 to 2007.

The caption for the video post simply read “I’m in” with a link to the website for her campaign.

In the nearly eight-minute video, Sanders tells of the path that the U.S. was on under Trump and the road we’re headed on with President Joe Biden.

“The radical left’s solution [for the problems the U.S. faces] is to impose government control and censorship from the top down,” Sanders said. “But their socialism and cancel culture will not heal America, it will only further divide and destroy us.”

Later in the video, Sanders gave a definitive stance on how she plans to combat her opponents’ upcoming attacks on her character, among other issues.

“My opponents will do everything in their power to destroy me,” Sanders said before concluding her video message. “But I will not apologize for who I am or who I’m fighting for.”
