Illinois Village That Outlawed Semi-Auto Rifles Now Adding 'High-Capacity Magazines' to Ban

It’s become yet another common tactic of the Far Left to not only assault the rights afforded to Americans, but when confronted about said assault, they not only don’t back down, they double down.

North suburban Chicago village Deerfield, Ill., is back in the news after expanding their town’s laws on firearms and firearm accessories.

After making a reactionary move to the school shooting in Parkland, Fla., the village banned it’s citizens from owning semi-automatic rifles back in April. About a month later, a judge issued a temporary injunction — which is still in place — to halt the ban.

Now, those in power in Deerfield have added onto the already controversial ban on certain firearms. According to WGN, Deerfield has amended their ban by adding that villagers won’t be allowed to have “high-capacity magazines.”

As reported back in April, Deerfield is one of the safest towns in Illinois — before the ban — and is safer than 82 percent of all U.S. cities, according to crime statistics website In fact, you have a .026 percent chance of being the victim of a violent crime in Deerfield.

Governments in towns like Deerfield think that they need to protect you from yourself. But who’s there to protect the people from the government?
