Rep. Cori Bush (D-Mo.) has become the latest Democrat who appears unenthusiastic about President Joe Biden running for re-election.
During an interview with Missouri’s KSDK News’ Mark Maxwell on Monday, Bush demurred when asked if Biden ought to seek a second term. An aide quickly interjected, saying, “She’s got to go.”
After being pressed by Maxwell, Bush eventually added, “I don’t want to answer that question because we have not, that’s not, yeah, I don’t want to answer that question. I mean, he’s the president, and he has the right to run for a second term, absolutely, but I don’t want to, I’d rather you not do that, answer the question.”
Bush then reportedly left for an event on the other side of St. Louis 20 minutes away.

Bush’s answer resembles that of fellow “Squad” member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), who told CNN’s Dana Bash that she’d “cross that bridge when we get to it” when asked about supporting Biden’s re-election.
According to a New York Times/Siena poll released earlier this month, 64 percent of Democratic registered voters do not want the 79-year-old Biden to run for a second term.
