CNN’s Don Lemon is still trying to wrap his head around the crumbling of his friend Jussie Smollet’s story that he was the victim of a “racist” and “homophobic” attack in the early morning hours of January 29th. Lemon might even be worried for his friend, because he went on a lunch-eating rant on CNN Wednesday.

Through all of the alleged lies by Smollett, Lemon’s main concern seems to be how Fox News and President Donald Trump are going to “eat Jussie Smollett’s lunch.”

Take a look:

So? If Smollett is indeed guilty of carrying out a false police report to the Chicago Police Department, why shouldn’t he have his “lunch” eaten, as Lemon so eloquently put it?

I understand that the left’s main tactic in everything they do that could be construed as wrong is to deflect blame and continue to make a victim out of the perpetrator. I get that. What I don’t get is how someone like Lemon can call himself reputable when he’s trying to push an agenda-driven narrative as well.

All you have to do is look at Lemon’s own words about Smollett from a February 11th episode “Red Table Talk," where he told the hosts that he texted Smollet "daily":

As black gay men, we carry the racism part, and we carry the gay part. We’re already a class of people who have been discriminated against, so why do I want to have another mark against me?

Historically, black men have stayed in the closet. You have to decide your identity: Do I want to be black, or do I want to be gay?

Every day I say, 'I know you think I'm annoying' – I can show you a text – 'I know you think I'm annoying you, but I just want to know that you're OK, and if you need somebody you can talk to me, 'cause there's not a lot of us out there. Sometimes he responds; sometimes he doesn't. He responds and says, 'You are not annoying.’

So Don Lemon was texting Smollett every single day throughout this debacle, but we’re still supposed to believe that Lemon is an unbiased newsman? Pull the other leg, bro.
