Conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt came out with a victory despite the two-on-one handicap stipulation in his match Tuesday on Smackdown... I mean MSNBC.

Peter Wehner, a former speechwriter for George W. Bush and MSNBC anchor Stephanie Ruhle claimed during an MSNBC segment that the Republican Party had been corrupted by President Trump, but Hewitt was having none of it.

“If you take a step back, what’s happening to the Republican Party is a moral catastrophe,” Wehner said.

“Is President Trump a moral catastrophe?” Ruhle asked Hewitt.

“No, absolutely not,” Hewitt asserted. “In fact, Mitch McConnell said it best. More has been done for originalism and the defense of rule of law in the last 18 months than in the previous 18 years by the appointment of Neil Gorsuch, 22 federal appeals court judges.”

“The president in the republic does not drive my morals, your morals, Pete’s morals,” he continued. “The president of the republic drives policy, and he appoints judges, which uphold the rule of law.”

Ruhle then, of course, gave Wehner the last word, where he continued to smear the president.

If only Hewitt had a chance to drop another truth-bomb on the network.
