Have you ever read an article that’s so ridiculous that it appears satirical, despite its author attempting to make a serious point?
The Huffington Post just published an article that awful. (As they do quite often.)
The article, titled, “If You Really Love LGBTQ People, You Just Can’t Keep Eating Chick-fil-A,” is written by Noah Michelson, who oh-so-bravely declared that it’s morally wrong to eat a delicious chicken sandwich. . . because Chick-Fil-A apparently hates gay people. . . or something like that.
Michelson, an openly gay man, argues that Chick-Fil-A is homophobic because its president, Dan Cathy, has a traditional view of marriage rooted in his Christian faith. Michelson claims the chain is also funding so-called “anti-LGBTQ” groups, such as - *gasp* - the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
"If you care about queer people ― or you yourself are queer ― you have absolutely no business eating at Chick-fil-A. Ever. It’s really that straightforward,” Michelson writes.
Here we see that to Michelson, the beliefs of Cathy alone are enough to denounce his entire company as homophobic. No discriminatory actions — just a certain Christian belief. Never has Chick-Fil-A denied the service of gay people, nor declined to hire them.
And speaking of actions, let’s see what Chick-Fil-A has done for gay people.

Yet, still, Michelson insists Chick-Fil-A looks down upon gay people as undeserving.
“It sucks that we can’t have waffle fries. But you know what sucks even more? Not having equal rights and contributing to the profits of a company that wants to ensure you never do,” he writes.
This claim that Chick-Fil-A is against equal rights is simply absurd. Christians are called to love first, which is exactly what customers receive when they walk into a Chick-Fil-A — regardless of their sexuality. The famous “my pleasure” doesn’t stop at the service of a gay customer.
