“The core problem with the damn law is that it was put together by a bunch of elitists who don’t fundamentally understand the American people,” said Howard Dean, former presidential candidate and Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, in an interview with Mika Brzezinski on MSNBC Wednesday.
Brzezinski played the video where Obamacare architect Jonathan Gruber talks about the “stupidity of the American voter,” and says that the ACA was made with a “lack of transparency" which "is a huge political advantage” that was “really, really critical in getting it passed.”
“Jesus!” mutters Dean as the damning clip rolls.
“I – don’t think you say that, right?” says Brzezinski. “That might be a problem.”
“The problem is not that he said it, the problem is that he thinks it!” said Dean.
Brzezinski laughs, and Dean says: “I’m serious. The core problem with the damn law is that it was put together by a bunch of elitists who don’t fundamentally understand the American people. That’s what the problem is.”
