How Ironic! Netflix Names Fmr. Nat'l Security Adviser Susan Rice to Its Board of Directors

Sometimes a story comes across your desk, and it just hits you — this is comedy gold.

The woman who was all over TV making the 2012 government desertion of Americans in Benghazi about a video is now on the board of directors of a video-streaming service.

I couldn’t make this up if I tried.

Video streaming giant Netflix made an announcement on Wednesday that they’ve appointed former U.S. National Security Adviser and former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations (UN) Susan Rice to its board of directors.

“We are delighted to welcome Ambassador Rice to the Netflix board," Netflix co-founder and CEO Reed Hastings said in a statement. "For decades, she has tackled difficult, complex global issues with intelligence, integrity and insight and we look forward to benefiting from her experience and wisdom.”

Hastings has a point. If anyone can make any situation about a video, Rice is the woman for the position.

Despite Hastings’ praise, Rice — among others who shall remain nameless — missed the tackle when it came to the disturbing — and still unresolved — problem of the U.S. government dropping the ball by not aiding Americans in harms way in Benghazi, Libya. Four brave men lost their lives in the terrorist attack on a U.S. government facility: Ambassador Christopher Stevens, U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith, and Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty.

I’m just going to leave this here:

Netflix — much like any other video company that bows down to the Hollywood cult and false social justice narratives — adds to the list of embarrassing moves that make people question their intentions.

People pay for Netflix monthly to be entertained, not to be preached at. But, enlisting the “wisdom” of someone like Susan Rice makes you doubt that Netflix cares about the former.
