In a move that is, itself, revealing, US House Democrats Tuesday blocked consideration of legislation that would require the Director of National Intelligence to declassify all "intel" information pertaining to the origin of the Wuhan coronavirus, SARS CoV2 (the name might be a clue), and the role the Wuhan Institute of Virology might have played in the outbreak.
Jack Phillips reports for The Epoch Times:
In May, the Senate Republican-backed COVID-19 Origin Act was passed unanimously in the Senate. Rep. Michael Burgess (R-Texas) brought the Senate bill to the House floor on Tuesday night before Democrats voted it down.
FLOOR ALERT: @HouseDemocrats blocked @HouseGOP requests to declassify intelligence on the origins of COVID-19 & #ChineseCommunistParty's subsequent cover-up. The Senate UNANIMOUSLY passed the bill 5⃣5⃣ days ago...what is the Speaker afraid of? #HoldChinaAccountable pic.twitter.com/uOzbadQ41q

Which inspires some questions.
First, in a nation that politicians repeatedly tell us is a “constitutional republic” with clear rules for its operation, how is it that a “National Intelligence Agency” exists when there is no officially, constitutionally declared War against another nation? How, exactly, does the perpetual-war, Deep State machine, exist, collect “intelligence,” and make that information “classified,” when the Constitution doesn’t allow for it?
You and your progeny are enslaved to pay for it, after all, so why can’t you see the info these extra-constitutional bureaucrats and spies collect?
Second. Does anyone really think that Senators and Reps already don’t know this “secret” information? Heck, for over a year, this writer has been reporting on US-funded deadly bio-research, including that happening at UNC Chapel Hill and, through proxies, in Wuhan. Senator Rand Paul has shown similar information on the Senate floor.
Third. Since the US Constitution doesn’t sanction the use of taxpayer funds on viral research, let alone “gain-of-function” research that has been funded by the NIH, is it possible that not only the House Dems who blocked this bill, but the members of the Senate who supported it - can address the larger, and longer-lasting, problem of US government involvement in “scientific research” when there isn’t an enumerated power in their Constitution allowing it?

One doesn’t need intel to know that the US government funding this kind of research – in any form – is not sanctioned by the Constitution.
The House vote was 216 against getting the “declassified info” from the Director of National Intelligence and 207 in favor.
And, as Jack Phillips notes:
House Democrats’ action came as CCP officials said they would not comply with a second World Health Organization probe into the pandemic’s origins. For months now, the Chinese regime has said the virus was first transmitted from an animal to a human at a Wuhan wet market, and they’ve denied the pathogen originated from the Wuhan lab.
It seems the Democrats can now join China in their unwillingness to let people be informed.
The White House on Thursday called China’s rejection of a second phase of the World Health Organization's (WHO) investigation into the origins of the coronavirus “irresponsible” and “dangerous.”
But earlier, Democrats considered themselves victorious in rejecting the COVID-19 Origin Act.
