The House just unanimously passed a bill making it a federal crime to abuse an animal. And while that’s all fine, well and good, this same House under Democratic leadership still refuses to take up a bill that would mandate medical care for human babies born alive following a botched abortion.
Because apparently, kicking a dog is worthy of jail time, but leaving a living, breathing infant to die alone in a closet is no big deal.
