Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) deals have forever changed the complexion of college sports, and not all of those ways are positive. But some athletes are using their money to forever change the lives of others.

Anthony Leal is a 6’5” junior guard for the Indiana Hoosiers men’s basketball team who has done well for himself through NIL. But this Christmas, he decided not to spend it all on himself.

Leal decided to use some of his money to pay off his sister Lauren’s student debt as her present for the year. The heartwarming moment was posted on Twitter by their mom, Sherry.

“I don’t even know how much that is,” Lauren said regarding her student debt.

“I do,” Anthony replied. “It’s zero now.”

If that doesn’t warm your heart, I don’t know what will.
