I’m going to give a little bit of a disclaimer here. The action that I’m applauding in this article shouldn’t be undertaken by everyone if they’re in the following situation. That being said, what a Marine Corps veteran in Arizona did the other day was extremely — pardon my language — badass.

The Yuma County Sheriff’s Office posted video on their Facebook page of the Marine veteran immediately grabbing the gun of a juvenile attempting to rob a Chevron gas station convenience store in the early morning hours on Wednesday.

The other two suspects involved in the robbery attempt immediately fled the scene when they saw the veteran grab the firearm from their cohort and proceed to punch him directly in the face.

The veteran gave a very simple, but direct response to sheriff’s deputies when asked how he instantly determined he could take control of the incident.

“The Marine Coprs taught me not to [mess] around,” the veteran replied.

The other two suspects are said to still be at large.

For video of the incident, as well as the Yuma County Sheriff’s Office press release, watch below:
