During a Democratic Party fundraising event in Des Moines, Iowa over the weekend, presidential candidate and self-proclaimed "fighter" for women Hillary Rodham Clinton showed the audience just how cool and hip she is for having the celebrity endorsement of pop star Katy Perry.
“[To] someone who reminds us that sometimes you just have to let them hear you 'Roar': Katy Perry, thank you for being here!”
Perry immediately stood up from the crowd and raised her hands, praising the former secretary of state.
Clinton went on to compare and contrast the Republican and Democratic debates, calling the GOP debates “reality shows” where candidates “compete” with and “insult” one another -- different from Democratic debates where candidates “tackle the real issues.”
This, right after she uses valuable time on stage to establish her street cred among young celebrities.
