In Hollywood’s latest attempt to pander to their ultra-liberal base, Hillary Clinton and Madeleine Albright will be appearing in an episode of CBS’s fifth season of the politically-driven drama "Madam Secretary."
The show follows Elizabeth McCord, played by Téa Leoni, “the shrewd, determined Secretary of State who drives international diplomacy, battles office politics and circumvents protocol as she negotiates global and domestic issues, both at the White House and at home.”
In the episode where Clinton and Albright, playing themselves, will join the cast, McCord is handling a particularly stick international issue.
“In the episode, Secretary of State Elizabeth McCord, played by Téa Leoni, turns to the former secretaries of state to ask their advice on how to respond to a delicate situation,” the show revealed.
Naturally, the liberals in Hollywood thought to bring in Democrats to help solve the problem. I wonder if a conservative was even considered? Nikki Haley? Condoleezza Rice, maybe?
This will be Clinton’s first appearance on the show, but Albright will be returning as a guest to the show for her second episode. Both former Secretaries of State tweeted about the episode and their gratitude for the opportunity.
It was great to be back on the set of @MadamSecretary with @tealeoni. It is always nice to consult with my successors. The episode will air on #CBS on October 7. pic.twitter.com/68NFcJLMGc
