Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pushed back on reports of corruption during her tenure with the Obama administration over a uranium deal that is believed to be riddled with bribery and extortion, calling the well-established reports "baloney."

In a report by The Hill published last week, it was discovered that the FBI had uncovered "substantial evidence that Russian nuclear industry officials were engaged in bribery, kickbacks, extortion, and money laundering designed to grow Vladimir Putin's atomic energy business inside the United States, according to government documents and interviews."

Upon deeper probing of the issue, The Hill found that the FBI identified a Russian spy ring that tried to embed personnel into Hillary Clinton's inner circle through a donor associate, with the intent of spying on State Department. (There's a whole lot more to this ever-unraveling ball of yarn: here's what you need to know.)

This information comes after the long-pushed media campaign that has been asserting collusion between Russian officials and the Trump administration. Despite the obvious farce committed by Obama era administration officials, including everyone's favorite 2016 Presidential runner-up, the response has been ripe with controversy.

According to The Hill, all of the information in the story came from "court documents, declassified law enforcement memos and interviews with career officials," but the Clinton camp has said otherwise.

After months of touting the liberal media's unproven narrative of a collusion between President Trump and the Russians, Clinton has asserted, ironically, that all of the accusations laid out against her and other officials in the administration involved with the corrupt Russia dealings are partisan and untrue.

"I would say it’s the same baloney they’ve been peddling for years, and there’s been no credible evidence by anyone. In fact, it’s been debunked repeatedly and will continue to be debunked," Clinton said in a statement obtained by The Hill.

"But here is what they are doing, and I have to give them credit. [President] Trump and his allies, including Fox News, are really experts at distraction and diversion," she continued. "So the closer the investigation about real Russian ties between Trump associates and real Russians, as we heard [Attorney General] Jeff Sessions finally admit to in his testimony the other day, the more they want to just throw mud on the wall.”

Clinton added she's the one who's been victimized by the whole ordeal, saying, "I'm their favorite target. Me and President Obama, we are the ones they like to put in the crosshairs."

Sounds a bit like the "fake news" dodge.

Despite Clinton's assertion of no wrongdoing, several congressional committees ranging from the Senate Judiciary Panel and the House Intelligence Panel are investigating the information laid out in the detailed reports from The Hill, though you won't hear much about it from the media.
