It really shouldn’t be a big deal because of the ascension of the Rumble video platform, but it’s being reported that YouTube is reinstating the channel of former President Donald Trump.
ABC News reported that YouTube made the announcement on Friday.
If you remember, Trump was systematically banned in a coordinated effort by both social and video media platforms following the events of January 6, 2021.

“Starting today, the Donald J. Trump channel is no longer restricted and can upload new content. We carefully evaluated the continued risk of real-world violence, while balancing the chance for voters to hear equally from major national candidates in the run up to an election,” the statement from YouTube reportedly read.
Trump was still getting his message out there through Rumble, garnering over 1.75 million followers on the platform.
As of this writing, the Donald J Trump YouTube channel has over 2.65 million subscribers.
