Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz's wife is speaking out after she was attacked by her husband's rival Donald Trump on Twitter.
Trump threatened to "spill the beans" about Heidi Cruz after a super PAC (which was not affiliated with the Cruz campaign) ran a negative ad that used an image of Trump's wife posing nude. The image was featured in a recent article on Trump's wife, Melania, in "GQ" Magazine.
What "beans" Trump was threatening to spill remains unclear. Regardless, Heidi fired back saying that “Most of the things Donald Trump says have no basis in reality.”
Ted responded to Trump's tweet in an interview with Chris Cuomo on Tuesday.
“It reveals a lot about character,” said Cruz. “It reveals a lot about class, that Donald’s instinct is to try to attack my wife and sully her.”
