Harris Highway: VP Plugs ‘Getting America Moving Again’ – With Major Highway Shutdown Nearby

Eric Scheiner | January 5, 2022

Vice President Kamala Harris tweeted Tuesday that “America is moving again" thanks to the Democrats $1.2 trillion infrastructure bill. Of course, just a few miles south of the White House drivers sat idle for over 15 hours on I-95, one of the busiest interstate highways in America.

It really is a great showcase of how the current administration recognizes what is happening in this country.

“Because of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, America is moving again. That's what infrastructure is all about: getting people moving,” Harris tweeted.

Included among the many, many mocking replies, was a copied tweet from Democrat Senator Tim Kaine. “I started my normal 2 hour drive to DC at 1pm yesterday. 19 hours later, I’m still not near the Capitol,” Kaine said in his tweet on Tuesday.

Traffic was brought to a standstill after a snowstorm impacted the northern Virginia region. Virginia officials have pledged to investigate how the highway situation escalated out of control.

Perhaps Harris would have noticed the traffic if she decided to travel, or make a return trip to the southern border of the US, to witness how effectively she has handled the illegal immigration crisis Biden has tasked her with addressing.

We all await Harris' tweet about how Democrats are “getting people moving” so effectively to cross illegally at the border. It is, after all, one place where Democrats are having a notable impact.
