HarperCollins Cancels Chris Cuomo's Trump-Bashing Book

It looks like disgraced – and now fired – former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo is losing yet another money-maker after getting caught using his journalist connections to help his embattled brother, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, fight multiple credible allegations of sexual misconduct. On top of losing his primetime TV show and his SiriusXM radio stint, it appears HarperCollins Publishers is also yanking Cuomo’s upcoming book deal.

Referring to the yet-to-be-published tome, entitled "Deep Denial," the New York Post reports HarperCollins spokesperson Kelly Rudolph told them, “I can confirm that we don’t intend to publish the book.”

Marketed as “a provocative analysis of the harsh truths that the pandemic and Trump years have exposed about America,” the book has already been pulled from Amazon’s website where it was listed for pre-order. It was originally set to be released in October, but faced a number of release date delays following news of the Cuomo brothers' scandal before finally getting the boot.

Like his brother, the younger Cuomo has also been accused of sexual misconduct stemming from his days at ABC News, claims that Cuomo denies.

Now, I’m not generally one for Cancel Culture, nor do I generally think a person’s entire life should be ruined over one mistake or unproven allegations. But I’m also given to understand that Cuomo thinks Trump supporters deserve to be punched in the face by violent Antifa thugs, so it’s hard to find sympathy now at his career has taken a well-deserved hit.
