Gun Control Ad Encourages Teens to Steal Parents' Firearms

A new video being billed as a PSA, seemingly, encourages teenagers to steal their parents' guns and give them to their teachers in order to prevent gun violence.

The video entitled “Stop Gun Violence” shows a teenage boy stealing a pistol from his mother’s room, hiding it in his backpack and then giving it to his teacher.  After slamming the gun down on his horrified teacher's desk the boy says “Can you take this away? I don’t feel safe with a gun in my house.”

How encouraging a child to steal a gun and take it to school will help discourage gun violence is unclear.  But, in most situations, one would have to assume that the teacher would alert authorities and the kid would probably be arrested and the gun returned to its rightful owner.

Besides, wasn't this school a "gun-free zone"?
