Gov. McAuliffe: U.S. Gun Violence Kills '93 Million People a Day'

“I’ve long talked about this,” Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe said.

“I talk about this every single day. This is a very serious issue,” the Democrat said Wednesday while discussing gun control. His comments followed his claim that the gun control issue was “not for today’s discussion” after a gunman opened fire on GOP members of Congress practicing for a baseball game.

Confused?

Not as confused as McAuliffe. He not only failed to heed his own advice by continuing his discussion on gun control, he followed it by claiming guns kill 93 million Americans a day.

“There are too many guns on the street. We lose 93 million Americans a day to gun violence,” the governor said.

With a U.S. population estimated to be just over 323 million, it’s amazing that there’s anyone left since we’ve had guns since the country’s inception.

“93 million people a day, that’s just something,” McAuliffe (who talks about this every day) reiterated.

“Did you mean to say 93 million, that’s a big number, are you sure about that?” a member of the media helpfully asked.

“93 million-93 individuals a day,” McAuliffe replied.
