New York Governor Andrew Cuomo tried to stress the importance of priorities in the pandemic currently raging all across the globe. Unfortunately, in his attempt to do so, he laid bare his hypocrisy on the subject of the worth of human life and was subsequently called out on it by Twitter.
“If it’s public health versus the economy, the only choice is public health,” tweeted Cuomo Monday night. “You cannot put a value on human life. You do the right thing.”
The contradiction between this and his position on abortion was conveniently highlighted by Twitter user Alexandra DeSanctis. DeSanctis retweeted Cuomo’s tweet, along with the comment, “I hate to be that guy but you are the one who signed your state’s law legalizing abortion til birth, yes?”
It seems Governor Cuomo might need to do some re-analysis of HIS priorities.
