This election cycle has been brutal, no doubt about it. The American Psychological Association recently stated that Americans, regardless of party, are more stressed out due to the election (55 percent of Democrats, 59 percent of Republicans). One golf course in Texas, however, is hoping to help bring those numbers down.

The Alpine Golf Course in Longview has recently set up large pictures of both Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton for golfers to try and hit on their driving range. A fun, joking sort of target practice.

"It may alleviate a little stress, and it puts a little fun into it," said Mike Williams, who owns the golf course. "I mean obviously this is a very serious situation, but this might lighten the load just a little bit."

So far, Williams says that the reception the move has gotten has been pretty positive, and some golfers that were interviewed seemed to agree with him.

"When we came up, it made us smile," one golfer stated. "It lightens the mood a little bit."

"I thought it was a good idea, take a shot at the one you don't like," another joked.

No word, however, on who was the more popular target.
