Democratic New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand said abolishing ICE would be her first choice of action from a Democrat majority in Congress.

“So when we flip the House and flip the Senate, I think the first thing we should do is deal with the children who have been separated from their families at the border. I think we should get rid of ICE,” Gillibrand said on a panel.

The senator made the comment at the New York City festival OZY Fest, which featured left-wing “comedian” Chelsea Handler to her right.

The potential move from a Democratic-run Congress would contradict the public’s view on immigration, as 75% of Americans oppose abolishing ICE.

But if the Democrats want to blow their chance at a “blue wave” in November, that’s fine by me!
