George Soros in NYT Fluff Piece: Trump Enemies Are 'More Determined'

2.3k views

If you ever needed more proof that the New York Times has a very explicit, far-Left agenda, look no further than the puff piece the New York Times Magazine did on billionaire, protest-funding, Democratic mega-donor George Soros.

The piece only used the word “protest” twice, with neither instance referencing Soros’ contributions to the “Resistance.” But, that’s not the only part of this article that’s noteworthy.

The entire theme of the piece was that Soros feels like the “Liberal Democracy” — as the article’s title says — is slipping away in the face of “nationalism” and “tribalism.” The reality is that Soros miscalculated the impact then-Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump would have on the American populace.

Soros briefly spoke about Trump and his supporters in the wake of Trump’s election to the highest office in the world. He said that, “For every Trump follower who follows Trump through thick and thin, there is more than one Trump enemy who will be more intent, more determined.”

It sounds like Soros — much like Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign — is ignoring the fact that states not located on either coast actually exist. Yes, there are a lot of Trump enemies. You need look no further than certain members of Congress, like Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.). Oh yeah, you can include the super-informed protesters that have nothing else to do except complain because they didn’t get their way in 2016. But he has many supporters, as well.

The NYT basically penned an article that paints Soros in a sympathetic light. They even quoted Soros as saying, “I’m not happy to have that many enemies. I wish I had more friends.”

Sorry, Georgie! Thirty to forty of years of actively and continually trying to divide nations that aren’t your own will get you some enemies. Maybe think about that next time you’re spending your “hard-earned” money on everything far-Left of center.
