Today marks the 70th anniversary of George H.W. and Barbara Bush's wedding day.

Spokesperson for the former U.S. president, Jim McGrath tweeted out his congratulations to the couple.

He reportedly sent out an email saying that the couple will be celebrating the special occasion together at home in a "low key manner."

The 90-year-old George H.W. was just recently released from a Houston hospital after spending a few days under observation for breathing problems.

Mr. and Mrs. Bush currently hold the title for the longest presidential marriage in American history, followed closely behind by Rosalynn and Jimmy Carter, who will be celebrating their 69th anniversary later this year.

The Houston Chronicle wrote,

“The couple married on Jan. 6, 1945, as World War II raged on in the European and Pacific theaters. They tied the knot in Rye, New York, as Bush was recuperating from fighting in the Pacific.

Bush had met Barbara Pierce in 1941 at a Christmas dance. Years later she would tell her family that she married the first man she ever kissed.”

Still very much in love even seven decades later, the pair was caught getting cozy on the “Kiss Cam” at a Texans game just this past season.

Aren’t they adorable?

Happy anniversary, you two!
