It seems that these days, whether you’re on the left or right in Washington D.C. it doesn’t matter anymore. Both appear to be part of “the establishment” and only do what they need to — regardless of party platform — in order to stay in their cushy offices while calling half of the country derogatory names for one reason or another. That’s why this vomit-inducing, hypocritical narrative of “unity” — while ironically dividing the people as much as they can — might be the biggest hoax of 2021.

All in the name of unity, “Republican” country legend Garth Brooks announced that he will be performing at “Democrat” President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.

Brooks claimed in an interview with WUSA that the decision to perform at Biden’s inauguration isn’t a “political statement,” but rather a “statement of unity.”

“I might be the only Republican at this place, but it's about reaching across and loving one another,” Brooks said.

Here’s video of the interview:

Brooks can say what he likes about using his music for unity around the world, which is a noble endeavor. However, one begins to question things when taking into account that the only other inauguration Brooks has played at was former president Barack Obama’s in 2009, while turning down the opportunity to play at President Donald Trump’s 2017 inauguration.
