A video of a Virginia man’s reaction when he learns his wife is pregnant after years of trying has gone viral, captivating the hearts of millions.
Dana and Arkell Graves have been trying to get pregnant ever since their wedding 17 years ago, Mrs. Graves told BuzzFeed News.
The couple struggled. Everything that could go wrong did go wrong:
Dana delivered one stillborn baby at six months and had four miscarriages.
About five years ago, the two decided to let go of their plans.
“It just didn’t work out, so we kind of gave up,” said Dana.
Then a miracle happened.
Mrs. Graves noticed a suspicious amount of weight-gain despite consistently exercising. She went to the doctor for a check-up and received the good news.
“I was ecstatic,” she said. “We hadn’t planned anything, we weren’t trying.”
What she did to surprise her husband was absolutely sweet, but his response takes the cake.
