If former Governor Andrew Cuomo’s COVID-lockdown attacks on the Contract Clause of the US Constitution and on workers were not enough, if his insufferably arrogant bluster to a reporter’s question about being jobless due to his lockdowns (his reply: “Go get a job as an ‘essential’ worker,” as if he could dictate to others that they weren’t “essential”), if his sketchy $5.1 million contract for a book about his handling of the over-hyped “pandemic”, or his deadly takeover of the NY health system and shoveling of the ill into nursing homes, or his subsequent seeming cover-up of the death stats in those homes, and the obnoxious doe-eyed, avoidance of this information from his fawning friends in pop media WERE NOT ENOUGH to wake up some folks as to the perfidy of this man, the latest might do it.
NBC News Reports that NY authorities Thursday filed papers in Albany City Court charging Cuomo with the misdemeanor sex crime of Forcible Touching. That’s touching without permission -- not touching a reader through the primrose prose of his sketchy book, just in case any of the pop media try to reframe this…
The former governor, who showed no hesitancy to reach into other people’s pockets, is charged in connection to an allegation going back to last year:
The criminal complaint alleges that Cuomo placed his hand "under the blouse" of the victim and ‘onto her intimate body part’ for ‘purposes of degrading and gratifying his sexual desires.’ The incident allegedly occurred on Dec. 7, 2020, at the governor’s mansion.
Surely, none of us ever could imagine that Cuomo might try to degrade someone…
It just seems so… contrary to everything we’ve witnessed of him in politics.
The charge is a class A misdemeanor, which is punishable by up to a year in jail or three years probation. A criminal summons has been issued for Cuomo to appear in court on Nov. 17, Albany County Sheriff Craig D. Apple Sr. said.
It seems as if one does not have to be an “essential worker” to catch some of Cuomo’s overbearing attention.
A 165-page report issued by state Attorney General Letitia James in August alleged that Cuomo had sexually harassed or inappropriately touched 11 women, including an executive assistant who described being groped at the governor's mansion.
As NBC reports, the criminal complaint keeps the name of the victim out of the public eye, but one wonders how the leftist press would have handled their well-promoted prohibition against “blaming the victim” if they discovered who she was.
Have the Big Media oligarchs decided to close their love-letter books on Cuomo and stop defending him now? After all, month after interminable month, they defended him while his policies destroyed the economy of NY State, crushed rights, and cast the light of responsibility onto others.
Time will tell, but, based on the track record, the dinosaur news outlets will give this as little attention as possible.
Making one wonder if they truly care about basic human rights against assault.
They, like Andrew Cuomo, certainly have shown that they care not a whit about human rights to property and earnings and free speech any time they can advance their collectivist agenda by being on the side that attacks those rights.
