Former Secret Service agent Dan Bongino is begging the agents on the job today not to bow to pressure to drop the investigation into how a bag of cocaine made its way into the White House and who brought it there.

“I know you’re being pressured by the Biden team to make this go away. I know it, because it’s embarrassing,” Bongino told the agents listening to Thursday’s broadcast of his nationally-syndicated radio program.

“This is a government of the people, not of a person,” the 12-year veteran of the Secret Service added, stressing the need to uphold the legacy of the agency.

“I’m begging you to do the right thing,” Bongino said, noting how the nation’s trust in the FBI has eroded.

“Do the right thing, not the easy thing,” Bongino said again, making a personal plea to today’s Secret Service agents:

“I know you know who did this, or I know you have a suspect list. Don’t let this go away.

“Do the right thing, not the easy thing. I’m asking you this as a friend, someone who worked there. Someone who was there way before a lot of the agents listening right now were even on the job. I got on way back in ’99, twenty-four years ago. It was a proud agency for a long time. Don’t do this.

“You absolutely know that a limited number of people could have done this, and that this investigation should not, and cannot, be closed.”

Bongino made the comments in response to reports earlier in the day that the Secret Service said its investigation was being closed and that it was unable to determine any information about either the source or entry of the cocaine.
