Florida Man Arrested For Threatening to Kill GOP Congressman's Kids Over Border Crisis

A Florida man is really unhappy with the Trump administration’s immigration policies that have caused some children to be temporarily separated from their parents after crossing the border illegally. And apparently, that means GOP Rep. Brian Mast’s three kids – a girl and two boys, all under the age of 8 – should die for it.

Laurence Key, a politically active man from Stuart, Florida, was arrested Tuesday for threatening to murder a Republican congressman’s three young children over Trump's border policies.

From TCPalm, a news branch of USA Today:

A Stuart man was arrested Tuesday after a federal complaint states he threatened U.S. Rep. Brian Mast's children over the Trump administration's child-separation immigration policy.

Laurence Key called Mast's Washington office Monday and said, "I'm going to find the congressman's kids and kill them," an intern who took the call told the FBI, according to a federal complaint filed in U.S. District Court. "If you are going to separate kids at the border, I'm going to kill his kids."

Key reportedly called Mast’s office a whopping 478 times. He also put in calls to Florida Sens. Marco Rubio and Bill Nelson Monday, according to the report.

He’s been charged with threatening to kidnap or injure a child. He’s denying the allegations.

While threatening to murder a congressman’s kid seems both incredibly stupid and an extreme overreaction, taking aim at Republicans’ kids is hardly a unique response among leftist outrage. ON Wednesday, actor Peter Fonda tweeted Trump’s 12-year-old son, Barron, should be caged with child rapists until Trump changes his border policy.

You know, for the kids.
