Flashback: Samantha Bee Segment Hails Disgraced Former NY AG Schneiderman as 'Superhero'

Despite a certain segment from the Comedy Central show “Full Frontal with Samantha Bee” airing only seven months ago, the first thought that comes to mind when viewing the clip can be summed up best by the multiple YouTube commenters themselves:

“This didn’t age well.”

Even though now-former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman was a “champion of women’s rights” and “an outspoken figure in the #MeToo movement,” he’s now experienced his own #MeToo moment after four women told the New Yorker about allegations that Schneiderman sexually and physically abused them.

That’s what makes Samantha Bee’s almost six-minute segment on Schneiderman now seem fully cringeworthy.

During the segment, Bee propped up Schneiderman as a “superhero,” even repeatedly equating his last name with Marvel’s Spiderman. Bee’s praise of Schneiderman resulted from the former attorney general legally combatting President Trump no matter what the commander in chief pursued since taking office.

Take a look at the segment:

I’ll say it again — that didn’t age well.
