A horde of more than 30 thugs were caught on camera rushing out of a Glendale, California mall Wednesday, making off with an estimated $300,000 worth of stolen merchandise.

Police say the loot was taken from the Yves Saint Laurent store located in the Americana shopping center. The massive group of thieves descended on the store just before 5 p.m., grabbing armfuls of clothing and other items before taking off and loading up into 20 separate cars. The cops also explained they briefly chased one of the vehicles before giving up in the interest of “public safety,” ultimately failing to catch any of the suspects. So far, no arrests have been made in connection to the incident.

Despite broad daylight smash-and-grabs become a nearly everyday occurrence in LA, this one was apparently big - and brazen - enough to catch the mayor’s attention.

"As the leaders of the City of Glendale, we are deeply concerned about the incident that occurred yesterday at the Yves Saint Laurent store in our community," Mayor Dan Brotman said in a statement following the theft. "Yesterday, a brazen group of individuals orchestrated a coordinated attack on the Yves Saint Laurent store at the Americana at Brand. This calculated criminal act not only resulted in the theft of valuable merchandise but also posed a threat to the safety and well-being of our community."

Meanwhile, the company that owns the mall is offering up to a $50,000 reward for information leading to arrests in the case.

Unfortunately, this scene has become a common sight in cities across California. About a week ago, nine men were caught on camera making off with God-only-knows how much worth of merchandise from a high-end Gucci store located in the Bloomingdale's in the Westfield Century City mall in Los Angeles. A week prior, another Gucci location in San Francisco was robbed, with the thieves making off with nearly $50,000 worth of stuff.
