The Google engineer who was famously fired after he authored a memo criticizing “Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber” has joined a class action lawsuit against Google that alleges the company discriminates against men, white people, and conservatives.

The summary for the 161-page lawsuit filed in Santa Clara County Superior Court claims that Google has been engaging in discrimination against people who are male, white, and hold “perceived conservative political views.” The lawsuit asserts Google’s hiring practices prioritize women and minorities to the “detriment of Caucasian and male employees and potential employees at Google.” It also claims people are “ostracized, belittled, and punished for their heterodox political views, and for the added sin of their birth circumstance of being Caucasian and/or males.”

Not only does the lawsuit claim that men and whites are discriminated against in hiring practices, the lawsuit also recounts an instance in which “presence of Caucasians and males was mocked with ‘boos’ during company-wide weekly meetings.”

The lawsuit includes screenshots of comments made by Google employees. One comment sent to Damore by a fellow employee read, “You’re a misogynist and a terrible human. I will keep hounding you until one of us is fired. F***k you.”

The lawsuit states that employees who argued against Damore were actually awarded with bonuses:

The Google Recognition Team allowed employees to give fellow employees ‘Peer Bonuses’ for arguing against Damore’s political viewpoints. Peer Bonuses were typically reserved for outstanding work performance or for going above and beyond an employee’s job dutieis. Defnding the liberal agenda, or defending violations of California employment law, is not in any Google employee’s job description.

The lawsuit also mentions an alleged blacklist by a manager at Google, who stated he would “never, ever, ever hire/transfer” conservatives onto his team.

CNN reports Damore’s lawyer said, “People don't want to out themselves as conservatives” at Google. “Google has engaged in some shocking activities in my opinion. I was truly shocked myself ... There's a Lord of the Flies mentality,” she continued.

TechCrunch claims the claimants are seeking monetary, non-monetary, and punitive damages as a result of the discrimination.
