Two of biggest winners from last week’s Republican presidential debates appear to be Carly Fiorina and Ben Carson.

According to Public Policy Polling (PPP), Fiorina’s favorability rating has increased from 30 percent to 56 percent since PPP conducted its Iowa poll in April.

Overall, among Republicans, 10 percent now report they would vote for Fiorina as their top choice for the Republican nomination.

She is tied with Gov. Scott Walker as the number one second choice presidential candidate, earning 11 percent of support among Republican voters.

“She was such a nonfactor the last time we polled that we didn't even bother to include her in the horse race question but now she's at 10% and in the top 5,” PPP stated on Fiorina’s increasing poll numbers.

Another candidate who benefited from the Republican debate is Ben Carson.

Before the debate, PPP polled Carson’s favorably rating as 44 percent. Now, he is at a 69 percent favorability rating, making him the most popular Republican candidate.

According to the survey, 12 percent state Carson is their top choice for the Republican presidential nomination. Carson and Walker are tied in second place behind Donald Trump, who is polling at 19 percent.

The PPP survey was conducted by surveying 619 Republican primary voters between Aug. 7-9.
