Fight Breaks Out at Florida Voting Booth

An altercation occurred Tuesday morning at a Palm Beach County polling site in Jupiter, Fla.

According to WPBF 25 News, a fight was sparked between voter Tom Garrecht and campaign volunteer Donna Tatlici. Witnesses say Garrecht began yelling at Tatlici, who was passing out Trump literature.

"I don't need anyone to tell me who to vote for!" he allegedly screamed at her.

Tatlici reportedly replied, "I'm not here to do that. I'm just here to give you the information."

Garrecht said the situation escalated when Tatlici began insulting him.

“She’s talking to somebody else and says, ‘That’s a little man. Yeah. That’s a little man,’ and a derogatory term that I won’t repeat on TV,” he claimed. Tatlici, on the other hand, said Garrecht then went after her.

“He then turns around and saw me and came charging at me,” said Tatlici.

“And (she) sprayed me with pepper spray. At the point I went after her and knocked everything out (of) her hands,” Garrecht said.

“He then threw me down and started punching me,” Tatlici said.

One witness explained Garrecht was the main instigator, as he was "up in her face like he was picking a fight." But besides a broken wristwatch and a scrape on her arm, Tatlici was not harmed in the dispute.

"I'm so embarrassed," she said, saying she had been volunteering at the site for several days handing out down-ballot recommendations for Trump supporters.

Neither of the two were arrested at the scene, but Garrecht is likely to be charged with assault, according to Jupiter police.
