In case you were worried about the United States’ inability to protect its borders, rest assured! A Vietnamese woman got caught at the Washington-Dulles airport while traveling with 20 live seahorses in her luggage Monday, preventing U.S. citizens from being overrun by illegal alien ocean life, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) boasted in a press release.

A note for those wanting to fill out their home aquariums with these one-of-a-kind conversation-starters: CBP would like to remind airline travelers that a person is only allowed to travel with four live seahorses at a time according to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. In fact, if you do plan to load up with seahorses before journeying into the United States, you can read the official rules and regulations on seahorse travel here.

But either no one informed this woman of the four-seahorsemen rule or her fish tank is inordinately big, prompting CBP to step in an confiscate all of her fellow aquatic travelers.

While CBP was busy removing dangerous illegal alien seahorses from passengers’ luggage, another 9,800 illegal alien children and family units hopped the Southwest U.S. border during the month of August, most likely to be seamlessly integrated into the 11 million-plus other illegal aliens already living here.

While the Federation for American Immigration Reform estimates the cost of educating the illegal alien children in the United States at more than $761 million, there’s no word yet on the cost of educating the illegal seahorses.
