In a bombshell discovery just prior to the release of the highly anticipated Justice Department report on the 2016 FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s use of her private email server, additional text messages between two FBI employees shows a grudge against President Trump during the election.

In an August 2016 text message exchange between FBI employees and lovers Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, Strzok assured Page that "we'll stop" then-candidate Donald Trump from winning the election.

"[Trump’s] not ever going to become president, right? Right?!" said Page in a text.

Strzok: "No. No he won’t. We’ll stop it," Strzok replied.

The damning line, “we’ll stop it,” has sent the media into a frenzy just hours prior to the release of the full report.

Bloomberg first reported the text message exchange.

Page and Stzok worked on the FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s emails, and later worked on Robert Mueller’s team for the Russia investigation, until the two were removed from their positions after their 2016 text messages were brought to light.

Despite the text messages, the Department of Justice Inspector General found that there was no political bias in the Clinton email investigation, rather putting the majority of the blame on FBI director James Comey.
