Maybe if we all say the word “science” over and over again we could win a $1 million, too! Seriously though, Chinese coronavirus “expert” Dr. Anthony Fauci was just awarded $1 million for “defending science,” according to the Associated Press (AP).

That’s not a joke. You didn’t just have a stroke. Who knows? Maybe they gave Fauci the money for second guessing himself every other week?

The AP reported:

The Israel-based Dan David Foundation on Monday named President Joe Biden's chief medical adviser as the winner of one of three prizes. It said he had earned the recognition over a lifetime of leadership on HIV research and AIDS relief, as well as his advocacy for the vaccines against COVID-19.

In its statement, the private foundation did not mention former President Donald Trump, who undermined Fauci's follow-the-science approach to the pandemic. But it credited Fauci with "courageously defending science in the face of uninformed opposition during the challenging COVID crisis.”

Nice editorializing by the AP. But, to be fair, look at how the Dan David Foundation classified Fauci alleged heroism. This was a political award given to Fauci because he made the conscious decision of “defending science in the face of uniformed opposition,” namely former U.S. President Donald Trump.

Critics will say, ‘They never mentioned Trump, so you must think he did a bad job, too!’

Anyone with half a braincell knows who the foundation was talking about. Give people a little credit for actually being able to understand politically motivated rhetoric — we’ve been beaten over the head repeatedly with it for at least the last 100 years.

Also, Fauci has received much criticism over the years for his handling of the AIDS epidemic in the 1980s and 1990s.

Anyway, the Dan David Prize was reportedly established in 2000 and gives out three $1 million prizes every year — one each for “contributions addressing the past, present and future.”

Maybe they should give “Marty McFly” and “Doc Brown” $3 million each for affecting all three?
