According to former vice president and presidential hopeful Joe Biden, although the coronavirus pandemic has prevented him from getting his message to the people in conventional ways over the last few months, Biden’s campaign is doing better than ever thanks to the president's press briefings.

In an interview Tuesday with Jim Gardner of WPVI-TV, Biden was asked “To what degree has this pandemic hurt Joe Biden politically?”

“The more he [President Trump] speaks, the more my numbers go up. I’m not being facetious,” Biden replied.

In addition, Biden went on to criticize the president for “moving too slowly”, and agreed with Gardner’s suggestion that this crisis could be seen as “a catalyst for a better world”.

Interestingly, there was no mention or discussion of the former vice president’s glaring reversal of opinion on President Trump’s travel ban. At first Biden criticized the move as “hysterical xenophobia and fearmongering”, but as of last week, he now supports the ban.
