ESPN Host's 'Racist' Shirt Is Causing Quite A Stir

Bomani Jones is a sports journalist and host of The Right Time on ESPN radio. He is also the co-host of Highly Questionable, an ESPN television show.

Today, Jones co-hosted ESPN's Mike & Mike, sitting in for Mike Golic. But the shirt he wore is causing much more of a stir than anything he said. His "Caucasians" shirt was created by the company Shelf Life Clothing close to a decade ago. The shirt was meant to ridicule Chief Wahoo, the mascot of the Cleveland Indians. Jones finds the mascot offensive and was trying to make a point.

You can actually buy the shirt here, but the site is currently down.

But ESPN was not too happy with Jones' wardrobe choice. A representative for the network told TMZ, "As the show progressed, we felt Bomani had made his point and had openly discussed why he was wearing the shirt, and we wanted to keep the focus to the topics of the day." Jones sort of complied by slightly zipping up his hoodie.

Jones has a history of controversy. Last year Jones found himself in some hot water when he questioned whether the police kill black people by design. He also mocked Russell Wilson for committing to celibacy and called Donald Trump supporters racists.

Jones later did this interview to explain his shirt:
